Search Process
When our clients are interested in retaining our services we strive to complete the search in a timely manner. However, we will not sacrifice quality for time and will only deliver the best qualified individuals to your firm.
3 STAGES TO COMPLETE SEARCH:
STAGE 1- DUE DILIGENCE, POSITION DESCRIPTION/EXPECTATIONS, AND IDENTIFY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
- Our first stage is to work as a team with the client, in performing due diligence and analyzing the company and their needs. We then determine the required set of skills, understand organizational relationships, define the required experience, and identify the other characteristics necessary for the successful candidate.
- After carefully assessing client needs, we typically prepare a written position specification that outlines the position responsibilities, qualifications required of the ideal candidate, and criteria for success. This specification guides our search efforts. The specification is promptly shared with other recruiters with relevant industry expertise to pinpoint sources and prospects.
- We then access our computer databases of individuals, corporations, and other sources to identify qualified candidates.
STAGE 2- PRESCREEN CANDIDATES, MEETINGS AND INTERVIEWS, AND PRESENT QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
- After identifying a list of candidates, recruiters make selective prescreened calls to sources and prospects to interest qualified individuals. During this period, the recruiter reports progress frequently to the client.
- Interviews are scheduled and feedback is collected to share with both the candidate and the client.
- Likely prospects are interviewed by the recruiter who evaluates each on the basis of experience and potential cultural fit with the client organization.
- Confidential written reports are typically submitted on four or five individuals who most closely fit the position specification.
STAGE 3- SCHEDULE CANDIDATE MEETINGS/ADVISE FEEDBACK, PERFORM REFRENCES AND COUNSEL DURING OFFER
- The recruiter schedules a mutually convenient meeting between the client and each candidate. After each interview, the recruiter contacts both the client and the candidates for feedback.
- Once the client selects the final candidate, the recruiter contacts an individual's references who are capable of providing insights about the candidate’s qualifications. The collective comments made by these references are then reviewed with the client.
- As the search comes to a close, the recruiter can assist in structuring of the compensation package if the client wishes. We also contact all those who have been helpful in the search, thanking them on behalf of the client. Once the successful candidate is in place, the recruiter who worked on the search is available to support the newcomer’s successful integration into their firm.
